It is really interesting to me just how many Booker bugs, errors, and problems I have learned to live with. Once I made the decision to document problems with the software, not a week has gone by without having something to write about.
The error I am telling you about today typically occurs if I have not entered any data for a while, sometimes about 15 minutes and other times over an hour. I will be interacting with Booker and after clicking around a few times to get where I am going, I will start to notice the site lagging. Then the screen goes blank for a second before giving me the following error message:
I read the message and see that I am being instructed to reload the page, which I do. Next, I get this popup message:
I read this one too which seems rather redundant and click “continue.” Next, I see this screen:
Finally, I click the green “Return to the System” button which usually gets me back into Booker where I can resume whatever I was trying to do before this all happened.
This happens to me about once a week. Most SASS platforms have systems in place to log these errors and fix them once they have enough data. I’m not sure Booker logs these errors because I have been seeing this one for years. This error is fairly benign, but it sure is an inconvenient waste of our time.
